Rent My Soul - CD Review
by MyTexasMusic.com

Some young artists don't understand what it takes to get ahead in this business. The Corby White Band seems to have the formula firmly in hand. This band understands that you must blend fitting music with marketing savvy and tenacity.

Corby White writes, "..if you ain't Country enough, they'll sell you boots and a hat…" This speaks to White's knowledge of his market, and as he pens or co-writes all of the twelve cuts on this disc, his lyrics reach out to his target audience and take a firm hold.

White fronts the Corby White Band with a voice that is timely for Texas music and performances that garner an ever-expanding fan base. The disc does a decent job of capturing the band's core sound, but the band is excellent on stage, capable of inciting frenzy in a crowd over the course of a live show.

A disc with great continuity, it's one of those you can put in the player and leave for a few days at a time. Arguably the best cut is a White/Howard co-write "Last Valentine." Listen for yourself and pick your own favorite. Get the disc today!
